One of our own Chicago North RWA members won the RWA’s RITA for Best First Book! At our last meeting, she lugged the award in to show us. It was almost as big as her. (I am only exaggerating a little.) She was so excited, and deservedly so. It took much hard work and not a few heartaches to get this far.

But she is very talented. I am not usually a YA reader, but I downloaded her book and am happily ensconced in my easy chair with my nose in her book. It’s that good.

Congratulations again, Clara. Now back to your computer. We want more!
